1. Control Your Blood Sugar:
Work with your healthcare provider to manage your blood sugar levels through diet, exercise, and medication. 
2. Brush and Floss Regularly:
Brush your teeth at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and floss daily to remove plaque and prevent gum disease. 

3. Regular Dental Check-ups:
Visit your dentist and dental hygienist at least twice a year for check-ups and professional cleanings. You may need additional cleanings to maintain your oral health.

4. Manage Dry Mouth:
Stay hydrated and consider using saliva substitutes or special mouthwashes to relieve dry mouth.

5. Avoid Smoking:
Smoking can worsen oral health problems.
